One week

Sunday the 25th of May


So this is my one week mark, I've been here a week and I'm not yet homesick (ah well maybe a little, I did call my friend Brenda the other day, not just to chit chat but also to hear some dutch).

Sunday was a rainy day again

Today I went to the comic book museum (I had been excited to go there all week!). I took my little plush green hand-made doggy with me just for company.

 Of course everything was in french but luckily my reading isn't to bad so I understood most of the museum. I loved to see all the in progress work and afterwards I took a look at the museum shop. The shop sells a lot of comic books (it even has a teeny tiny place for English comics).

 there where many amazing books and I felt so tempted to buy a lot of them, but since I also need to take them back with me to the Netherlands I can't take too much (not to mention I still need to be able to feed myself).

In the end I bought three books, the Nobrow number 9, Le Grand Combat a book I knew I wanted to buy I had seen some of it before because my previous internship supervisor (Julie Marabelle) had shown it to me. It's very beautiful and made by her Nephew.

And one book just to make me feel safe and nice and I'm 100% able to read Everything we miss from Luke Pearson, a nobrow press book in English.

I spent my whole afternoon in the museum (from 2 pm till 6 pm) so now it's time to head back to 'my' couch.
