Sadly it stormed a lot Saturday and my room was flooded with water because I'd let the window open. So I had to clean the when I came home, well good excuse to clean. 

Friday Night, Don't Ever Let It End

Friday 27th of June,

But really I had a very interesting Friday. I had Lunch with Matt who showed me some Spanish books and they had a bit of a Nobrow feeling to them. He also invited me to come over and have lunch with him, Jessica, Ron, some lady of the French embassy in the USA and the children tomorrow and see the opening of the new expo in the comic book museum.

 I really loved this one, it even had some translation in English underneath every strip.

Warm Sunday

Sunday the 22th of June

Today we had a walk again, in the morning we visited the market and in the afternoon the Angoulême Museum. 

Again the weather was warm they said it would rain today, but it didn't luckily.

My last day at Atelier du Marquis

Friday 20th

My last day at Atelier du Marquis It wasn't as different from any other day except they told me they'd throw me a party next week and everyone said they'd miss me.  Of course a lot more happened because Brenda comes to visit me this weekend! And we where invited for a Party at Maison des Auteurs tonight and France was footballing tonight. For more read under the 'read more' cut.

Angoulême showed it self from it's best side it was a very hot weekend.

Thursday 19th

An acquaintance had asked me to do a comic for her Magazine and to be honest I had completely forgotten. She reminded me yesterday the only theme "Summer and Autumn" now I am a melancholic person and the theme is a little old fashioned, so it reminded me of aging and I couldn't get passed that. She offered me a script but I'd rather write myself. So I wrote a little two paged comic for here. Send her the Storyboard and she seemed pleased enough. 

So I took my Thursday to make these pages and also make a redo of my own comic (again), I had to make some edits in the storyboard as the end of the story still isn't what it can be after the tips I got yesterday from Jessica.

I didn't get the chance to scan them, but I hope to do so soon.

Tomorrow is my last day and Brenda will arrive in Angoulême to visit me.

Tuesday the 17th of June

So Tuesdays I work as an assistant to Jessica Abel until Monday the 23th then I'll come in full time. I always take the same road to Maison des Auteurs, but everyday I take it I see something new.

Museum visit

Monday June the 16th

I was invited to go to the museum and see the archives with Jessica Abel and some of her friends today. It was really great and inspiring to see the originals of some of the great catroonist. 

I don't want to throw out to much but these are a few images that really got to me in the detail of the inkting and inspired me to have another look at my own work.

Of course in the end I went back to my internship and worked on my own pages, and forgot the time and the end didn't went home before 10 pm. I'm beginning to feel like a workaholic.

It's a wonderful Sunday to feel like a zombie.

I didn't feel so good today either. I did work on my report again and slept some in the afternoon. One of my friends asked me to the movies and I had promised to go (we talked about it Saturday morning at 5 or something while walking home). So again I washed up took some headache meds and went to this movie. Only lovers left alive I had wanted to see this movie for ages.  In the end it turned out a lot of my friends went to this movie, so that was fun.

I really do need to go to bed earlier tonight somehow I keep promising myself that but when I look at the clock it ticks and says 'hey you it's 12 o'clock in the middle of the night and you are still writing a blog post'.
And I'm still not done writing.

Sleepy Saturday

Saturday the 14th

Looking charming
I slept from 6 am till 11 am. I was so beat I actually felt like being hangover except for I couldn't be. I had to writing my report on my internship and I was so tired. I did start, watched some series swallowed some headache meds and wrote. Around 4 I decided to do some grocery shopping and went out.
I didn't know there was a flea market this Saturday but I saw it and greatly enjoyed walking around.

Happy Birthday Ruben I had a cupcake for you here in France.
I was invited to a party at EESI and at frist I didn't feel like going but I went and had a amazing time met a lot of people and had lots of fun and stayed up till sunrise and I'm still regretting it.

Today I didn't feel much like colouring on the computer and just yesterday I had printed my lines so I could colour traditionally. So that was what I was up to today.

Today I began working for Jessica Abel (from now on I will be doing that every Tuesday till the 20th). I also got the great news that I can rent the apartment I visited a day before. So I'll be moving off my current couch.
