My last day at Atelier du Marquis

Friday 20th

My last day at Atelier du Marquis It wasn't as different from any other day except they told me they'd throw me a party next week and everyone said they'd miss me.  Of course a lot more happened because Brenda comes to visit me this weekend! And we where invited for a Party at Maison des Auteurs tonight and France was footballing tonight. For more read under the 'read more' cut.

Angoulême showed it self from it's best side it was a very hot weekend.

I actually had the key to Aterlier du Marquis and it felt quite like home sometimes even more then my room since I spend my days from 8:30 - till 21:00 usually in Le marquis. It's a weird idea that I'll leave and won't come back for a time. I must remember to visit after we'll still have a goodbye party for me (which is really sweet).

At half past 12 Brenda arrived in Angoulême and I met her for my lunch break. I bought her a gift for her birthday (the second of june) here and had wrapped it up a few days earlier. But I felt we had to celebrate a bit so I bought us both a cupcake at garden cupcakes

This is a Polaroid explaining the quality
I have the feeling she likes my wrapping, it was so good to see her! I didn't realize how much I'd missed her until she was her. Up until now I hardly thought of the Netherlands except for in terms of "oh I still need to write that report", but she actually reminded me I have friends and family in the Netherlands that I miss. Silly I didn't realize it. After our Lunch I left Brenda to explore Angoulême a bit more on her own because I had to go back and finish my day.

I quite early because not only didn't I want to leave Brenda alone all to long, I also had two more appointments. First another friend would come (and meet Brenda) and at 7 we had the party at Maison.

Brenda and I had some quick dinner and went to Maison.

I think Brenda had a good time at the party in the beginning it was a bit quiet, but the view alone it worth something. She also had a rather good time with a charming fellow ;)
I didn't take this picture.

Oh I almost forgot Brenda had brought me some candy from home: Liquorice. Oh I wish I could all show you how the poor French looked while trying to eat some. Haha it was quite worth our while to share.

We got home late and tipsy in some cases, but France won the match and I made some new friends. Up to tomorrow and showing Brenda Angoulême!
